Default help quick!

So as I'm leaving physical therapy today my truck starts making these strange popping and cracking noises. So right now off on the side of the street waiting for the tow truck to show up and tow me to the nearest shop. I looked underneath the truck and I can't find anything that looks out of the ordinary. Anyone got any ideas on what it could be before I get to the shop and the charge me an arm and a leg?

Yeah, kinda late with the response, but I would say that's not a lot to go on. What'd the shop say?

Nothing to go on. Usually popping and cracking are an indication of an electrical problem and that's the shoet of it.
