Default Replacing Front and Back Ram Emblems

Anyone done this before? I order new ones, and I can get the old ones off. I tried using fishing line on the rear, but it kept breaking, and I couldn't get the 4 tabs on the grill to come out. Do I have to take the whole facia off? Any tips?

if you reach in behind the grill, as you said, there are 4 "tabs" holding the badge onto the grill, use a flat screwdriver and release the clips to remove the badge,
the rear will be the same, youd have to remove the access panel on the inside of the tailgate and remove the badge the same way as the front,

fishing line will not work on the front and rear badges as they are clearly not glued on.

even if you removed the entire grill from the truck, your still required to release the 4 tabs that are securing the badge to the grill.

i just blacked the front and rear badges out, and removed all the others using fishing line. worked like a charm,

just a tip though, if you just plan on removing the badges, your going to have an indent and two holes in the middle of your grill, unfortunatly with this body style your not able to simply remove them and go with a clean look, youd have to remove/replace, or paint.

There are several YouTube videos about removing the Ram badging

The tailgate badge is glued on, i believe that there is a plastic pin that is only there to center the placement of the emblem
You can use any heat gun, even your hair dryer to slightly warm the emblems up & they come off easier

Mine sat in the Florida sun all day and 50# braided fishing line worked great, The pin does not hold anything just an alignment pin. Take your time and it will come off!
