Default 2013 8.4 Horrific FM radio reception?

Granted I use XM 90% of the time, does anyone else get absolutely horrendous FM radio reception? I'm talking being in the same city as the radio station and picking up static. Sh!t all my past vehicles and every one in my household can get Cat Country (Providence) from as far out as the cape, I can't even get Cat Country when driving through Rhode Island! It's almost laughable but seriously, spend all this money and get 2 stations that come in consistently?

You need to visit your dealer, this isn't right. My FM (8.4AN) stations blast right in just like on any other vehicle I've owned plus, the HD stations boom in too.

Mine was blasting fine until I put one of those stubby antennas on it. Now, the coverage is not near as good. Oh well, I usually listen to the iPod or XM anyway.

Mine is poor too. But im used to aftermarket head units with stronger tuners. Thought about a antenna booster, not sure if it would help.

My 8.4an radio works great. This is my first radio that gets HD and I am impressed with the sound quality and reception.

hmm.. I'll bring it up next time the truck's at the dealer. I only get one HD station to tune in, and the rest are all static. I'll hafta jump in another 8.4 on the lot see if its any better

I'm in Cumberland. I get all of the channels, but 107.3 which didn't come in great in my Silverado is a lot worse in the ram. I am disappointed in the FM reception. The free 1 year of satellite has kept me away from FM so far.

The 8.4a doesn't have the best reception in mine either. They just installed a new one and not much better. Even the sat radio is not as good as my 09 Ram or my 09 Cobalt SS. Luckily I leave a Ipod nano in the arm rest plugged in so it plays that great.
