Ok deal is done, pics will be sometime tomorrow it is 11:30 pm to before taxes final numbers are 26,694 on a MSPR of 36485. (so 9791 off MSRP) (that is before any taxes or fees). They backed out on the free running boards (they installed for free, so I just paid for the boards themselves, they were ready to walk away at that point because I kept pushing for more, they said take the extra money or the free boards, took the money paid for the boards) added in the lifetime max-care warranty with 100 deductible for a total of 28,874 plus tax and tag and fees fees.

2013 Ram 1500 SLT crew 2WD with Big Horn Equipment Group V6 8 Speed , True Blue Pearl.

And my 09 was 34465 (ish) MSPR and I got it for 26963 before tax, tag, and fees. So that one I got 7502 off MSPR. Will post pics and a initial review sometime tomorrow, I wanted to get the numbers down now so I can stop thinking of numbers.

Just traded a 2010 Long Horn Quad 4X2 (31,400 mi) for a 2013 Express Quad for $6k difference. I liked the old one but driving a new truck for $2/year makes sense to me. Got another free year of Sirius radio plus chrome wheels but lost my power rear window option. I'll get over it.

My wife and I have been scouring the internet to find some comparable prices on the trim level and packages on a new 2013 Ram 1500 SLT. What is the story behind the online sites of Ram dealerships that show a "Dealer Discount" anywhere from $8,000 to $10,000 off MSRP? Is there more to this special pricing than meets the eye? Is it one of those things where it's really too good to be true? Or, are these prices legit? How much leverage is there to use these prices to get a comparable deal locally? Thanks for the info.

I've been asking myself that same question as well. I'm not really loyal to any one brand, so I'm actually looking at an F150 as well as the. Part of that decision making process (but by no means all) is pricing. I don't want to hijack this thread at all -- so I'm going to stick to the pricing part of my decision making. Some members of the F150 forum were talking this same subject, and a few people threw out some great websites that do advertise their prices that they have used in their local negotiations. They do say that those prices were legit -- I would think there's a good chance the Ram dealership sites are no different. One thought they had was that if they can get a good enough deal that they can't match locally, they believe that it would pay to buy the truck and have it shipped (enclosed) to them. Now if you don't mind buying sight unseen and not driven -- that's a viable option. That is in fact something I am at least considering at the moment as I'm currently leaning towards a Ram. My final question: Anyone have any dealership sites that advertise their prices and that I could use as a basis for negotiating locally?

I got a 2013 sport CC pretty much loaded except for sunroof. Sticker was 49 and change an I walked out with the truck for 35 grand. Never seen a Better deal

generally those prices are holdback amount under invoice or so, and they include all rebates.
Jones motor company in savannah TN prices their stuff like that and they are legit, they ship them all over the country.
Dealers that price like that generally are going for volume, volume, volume, and are depending on meeting quotas to get the factory bonuses at the end of the month.
you can always print it off and take it to your local dealer, or have a fun road trip to pick up your new truck if your local wont deal.

Thanks so much for the info! I will definitely have that info in hand when I go to our local dealer. I would not be afraid to have it shipped, or even take a little road trip.
