Default Drive wo eco option? Bluetooth / Navigate systems?

New truck, love it. While in drive the eco systems starts (engine converts to 4 cylinders) cause truck to lag in stop and go traffic. Does driving truck in 5th gear w +/- option cause any engine problems?

Bluetooth and navigating system not included on my Uconnect -- any suggests of system to upgrade to whether stock or not?

Thanks.

if you have the 8.4A head unit, then you have bluetooth.

what is your truck info?
year
trim
etc...

I have no problems with any type of lag at any speed, when I step on it the power is there. I do notice when I stomp on it at 35mpg, the down shift to 2nd hauls ass.

No head unit, the dealership tried to tell me there was bluetooth in truck -- until I asked them to show me how it works. Then they changed their tune. When I asked about bluetooth unit they said the 8.4 upgrade would cost around 2k for upgrade or go to local post purchase vendor for bluetooth connect aside from stock stereo.

Regarding my eco lag -- it happens everywhere, in third gear, forth etc whenever I reach a "cruising speed" the eco enagages into four cylinders --I can feel notibile difference from standard driving to eco drive. So, I have tried driving with just the adjustable gear option in 4 th or 5th gear around town and notice no eco lag.

I haven't contacted dealer because they are always looking for a fast dollar.

Push you shift handle to left, now you're in a user controlled shifting setup. When I commute, I shift to left to engage the over ride and then shift handle to left to ensure I'm up to "6" on the display. Now my truck with shift up and down but without ECO mode. Hold to the right to disengage and return to auto ECO whatever they call it.

Better explaination in the owners manual.

I guess you have an RA1 setup. If so, you are stuck until about Mar - Jun timeframe before Mopar would release a blue tooth upgrade or module.

If you're not really using Uconnect, you can replace your setup with an aftermarket head unit of your choice. I have not replaced my factory head unit in years like I used to so I'll defer to others for recommendations.
