I wonder if i were to get the factory controller, will I just get part of the button panel with the brake controller, or will it come with the whole panel....there are lots of different configurations.....

Grn = Continuity to brake Pin as shown on the diagram on the dust cover of the 7 pin plug. (Lower right pin).

So...

#1. why am i thinking the pink should be dead and go 12v when the brake is pushed.
#2. can I splice the green to a regular brake controller
#3. What the heck is the pink wire for??
I'm going to buy the wiring adapter harness tomorrow and I will try to meter out mine.
I would think the same about the pink wire so I'm not sure about that.
If the green wire goes to the pin you show it can be used to a regular brake controller but personally I don't to splice into any wires.
I have a question though. Why is there only one wire on the 7 pin connector, are the lights not wired to it? I'm going to check my bumper trailer connector tomorrow.

In this thread it looks like the switch and controller are two different numbers
68105206ab for the switch and 68092732ac for the controller but I have not called the dealer to confirm it.

that is what my dealer said. There is a module and the panel controller/switch. Seperate parts with a March availability.

I do not know how many wires mine has going to it, however with my trailer plugged in, I have brake/turn/park lights that function corectly.

Oh, I just realized that green wire was added by you on the outside of the plug probably to test to that pin.

I wonder what the cost will be for the parts and to have the computer programmed for it?

Correct. My probes on the voltmeter were not long enough so I used a jumper wire...

I never had a chance today to meter out my plug.
I did buy the adapter.
My schedule is busy for the next couple of days but when I get a chance I will check it out and post back here.
