Default DB-ALL minimal installation

Hi guys,

I am trying to get a DB-ALL on 2012 Ram 3500 to start and stop the truck.

I have the CHTHD1 harness, XL202, and a 7251V-responder-remote along with the XKLoader2.

There seem to be two different ways of doing this.
1) if I flash the DB-ALL for RSR (remote start ready), and it sounds like I can fairly easily just use a remote to start/stop the truck.
2) If I flash the DB-ALL in a standard fashion. It sounds like I have to install a bunch of wires.

My goal is to start and stop the truck using the wires (I don’t want it to be wireless), so will be taking approach number 2. Besides starting/stopping, I don’t care about all the rest of the features like lock/unlock, etc.

Amongst all the wires. I want to ideally use only those required by the DB-ALL.

I’ve highlighted the wires that I think will need to be install.

- None of the outputs are going to be needed.
- On the 10 pin connector on the right, I am not sure which wires are required/optional. I think pins 7-10 will be needed to be connected. Any idea what pin 10 (GWR) is? I think its ‘ground while running’? So when the engine is running?

Does anyone have experience installing it in this minimalistic way? Does this make any sense?

when i did mine on the 12 ram i had to run a positive from the battery, a ground that i found under the dash. I did not connect the signals when the command start is on. When you use the T harness it connects to the door locks automatically. Then you just need to connect the command start to the dball with the data 2 data wire harness. The ignition out from the command start has to tie into the red with white on the t harness. The only other connection. You also need to run the rap off wire to the purple wire just inside the panel on the side of the drivers dash. You will have to run a wire to the hood pin from the command start, i used the pre drilled holes for the pin.
