PM Candy08, he has them on his 2011, and knows a ton of information on this subject.

You'll need to machine the rear diff to accept the bolt pattern of the gear. This is for the rear. The front is a straight swap

ok when you say "machine" is this something that can be done with a drill and a bit? or a grinder? do i have to make new holes or am i trying to machine to make the ring gear fit against the cairer flush. i see you have them in your truck so any help would be greatly appreciated.

from what i understand, its a re-drill & fill process

like what you would have to do when changing axles from ford to chevy pattern

i think another way would be to change the whole carrier assembly, but i may be way off

You need to either be a machinist or have it machined to have the ring gear fit the carrier.
As it stands right now. The ring gear holes do not line up with the holes present on the carrier.
Once it's machined to line up with Ye ring gear holes, you are then able to bolt them in as normal.
This is not a huge deal. Just need the right shop, right equipment or simply the know how to do this.

If he does, that's perfect.
But he would have to have the carrier from an 09/10.
11/12 have the ZF axle which is what makes it different.

Im going through it,i added a tru trac posi and 4.56's but i needed to get one new axel because the stock axels are 2 different lenths.with my new setup they need to be the same.
The axel is $280 from dodge so the total will be about $1300 complete with gears, posi and axel.
