Default 6" Rough Country lift

Hey guys, I plan on getting a 6" lift, using Rough Country because they are the only ones that make a lift for 2wd. I called a local custom truck shop and they gave me a quote at $1,935 for parts and labor. Just wondering if anyone has run into problems with Rough Country, and also if this is a good price or not.

Pros and cons of lifting 2wd?

I run rough country and am absolutely in love with it.

On running a lift on a 2wd me personally, I wouldn't do it. BUT this is 110% my opinion. I have just never cared for lifted 2wds. I like leveling kits. But, if you want a lifted truck and don't want to spend the money on a 4wd, then get it. It's your truck. All that matters is what you think.

Besides my opinion on lifted 2wd, which once again is my own opinion but not my truck or money, the RCX lifts are awesome.

I honestly don't know about the price because I haven't lifted a 2wd. However, that isn't a bad deal. I'd make sure they are quoting you at least the same price you can get it for from rough country's website otherwise just buy it off the website and take it to them. Labor can honestly range from $500-$1000 depending on the shop. Id say $500-$700 is a decent deal. Anything over would be high in my opinion.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I can't comment on those kits specifically, however so far as lifting a two wheel drive goes...why the heck not. If you like the way it looks, do er up, she's your baby.

My only issue would probably be that I would climb up into my big ole jacked up two wheel drive see a big mud hole, dive in, and immediatly wish I hadn't........ haha
