Default Headlight issue (Not the bulb)

My 2011 Ram has a passenger side headlight issue. The headlight went out, so I replaced it (I did not touch the glass). The replacement bulb went out and then came back on and so I replaced the buld AGAIN ! It continues to be an issue where the light will come on sometimes and then go out. Somtimes out for a couple of days, sometime off and on all day.

It's time to stop messing with bulbs and to start looking to the TIPM for a problem. If that's what it is, your warranty should cover it.

I was hoping it was a connection issue..... but it doesn't flicker. Its either on or off.

I heard I may be able to unhook the battery for 10 or 15 minutes and it "might" reset the headlight switch !!!!

What you heard was a rumor. The switch is just a switch and there's nothing to reset.

I had a problem similar to this when i hooked up my HIDs the prob was a bent or loose pin in the connection harness i think it was the green one with the funny connection you have to pull the pin before you can unhook it anyways if i squeezed that connection hard my light would come on took me a little bit of fooling around sometimes I had to pinch is several times but I would give it a try never know!

Same thing happened to me, but it was with the high-beams. I'd drive a day or two and then the light would go out. I'd disassemble the lights and fiddle with the bulb and harness. Light would come back on. Reassemble everything... drive a day or two and then the light would go out again. Was very frustrating. At first I thought it was the bulb (replaced), but the light kept going out. Finally figured out it was the harness. Looks like I have a loose wire/connector. I finally just plastic zip-tied the harness onto itself. Light hasn't gone out since. I should probably get it in under warranty...I have HIDs though and don't want the dealership knowing....
