Default WANT TO BUY sPYDER LIGHTS BUT.....

Hi Guys,
I have been reading a lot of threads and have finally decided to just make a new post asking if I have the right part number and what to do.

I have a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with quad head lights and would like to get smoked head lights. Spyders have caught my eye and I want to make sure that these "PRO-YD-DR09-CCFL-SM" are the correct ones.
Now I have read that the LED rings in these units are dull and burn out quickly, is this true and if so where can I get the quality rings.
Also I would like to install the HID H1 8k bulbs in these but the last kit I got at a swap meet was garbage, where is a good place to buy a kit and does anyone have a part number/recommendation.

Thanks for the info, did you find an H1 set on there that fits our trucks?

For a plug and play kit you want to look at retro solutions. I was running oracle HIDs in my last truck but I was running a relay kit.

The Halos are a CCFL, so as long as the ballast hold up you'll be fine. If it was me though, I'd bake open a headlight when you get them and find out the ring sizes and then talk to AAC or Flashtech and see if they have any LED halo rings that would fit as there are more issues with ccfl than LEDs, but LEDs can also burn out if installed incorrectly.

thank you that is what I wanted to know if they ccfl were all bad or if there were just some issues. Now when you said install correctly do you mean according to manufacture's instructions or is there a modified set?

As for the kit do I need 2010 specific wiring harness or are the H1 harnesses universal.

In regard to your HID question, I have always bought kits from DDM Tuning. Great warranty, great price. I have used them on cars, trucks, and motorcycles. All my buddies use them also

I am having trouble with one of my Halos, some times it is dime and others it is fine on start up or after a little driving. Anyone have any ideas?
