If neither hose is getting warm, the core isn't likely to be your problem. You need to find out why the heater hoses aren't getting hot. The heater hoses should be as hot as the upper radiator hose at operating temp.

I may have a suggestion for you
Your radiator is likely as old as the Ram
Drive it over to

Barsco Co
352 High Street, Watertown, NY
(315) 782-5351 ‎

Tell them about your problem & ask their opinion

Then ask them to how much it would cost to fix it
if they say that the radiator is plugged, ask them what it would cost to ROD OUT the radiator, IF you pulled it out & put it back in yourself

While they are fixing it, go across the street to ARTIE's or SOLURI's

yankee scottys shop is in my back yard pretty much but i blew my garden hose through the heater core and got some brown water comeing out now the hose on the left side if your looking at it gets hot and the hose on the right stays cool so im going to shoot some more water through it as for the radiater being as old as the truck as per the paperwork i was givin it has been changed about a year and a half old main problem i have now as i dident want to run it with a bad thermo in it was the ball joint on the track bar is moving about oh 3/8-1/2 an inch so i know what is causeing my wobble and shake now first thing first make sure its safe to drive then worry about being comfy inside. Oh and as for soluris last time i drove by it looked like it was for sale but arties sounds like a good idear
