Default truck eats sway bar links, anyone else?

in the last 30,000 kms I have probably put 5 or 6 sway bar links on it, sometimes having to replace both sometimes just one, sometimes with good ones (moog) sometimes with welfare ones, I seem to make it like 3-5 months and have to do one or both again, the exepensive ones are about 90 bucks each the cheap ones about 70, labour is free as I do it myself but it is getting annoying doing it so often so I am starting to wonder what the hell is going on, the only thing I can think of is maybe I need ones that are slightly longer because of the leveling kit? my drivers side sway bar link is clunking again (changed it in october with a cheap one - should have got the warrantied 90 dollar one) and the noise pisses me off especially now that many roads are snow covered and uneven.

Anyone else have an issue similar with having to do sway bar links often. I bought the truck off my father it was stock, I know he didnt have to do them like this, if anything he probably did them one or twice in 127,000 kms. Hoping to replace this truck in the summer with a 2500 and give it the carli suspension treatment to end any bullcrap like this.

exactly why I am trying to figure out why, my dad never had an issue with them but mine start clunking after 3 months of use, never offroad, we have some of the worst roads in the country but I generally dodge pot holes and man holes, im not rough on the truck. I should have wondered why a year ago but figured if I wasnt going to keep the truck too long I could live with it, going to buy the warrantied one this week and replace it, atleast if it start clunking I can bring it back and get a new one before I sell the truck. Other than that the truck has been great, no issues from day 1 (when my dad bought it in 04 until I bought it off him and even until now) other than these damn sway bar links

Maybe it has something to do with your lift. I went through both front hubs, power steering cooler, idler pulley, rear trans seal which caused an evap hose to crack, and a trans solenoid pack. But that was it.

I think it could be the leveling kit too but way too many people run level kits for it to be happening this much and not too be hearing about from people with my year of truck, I guess I will throw a warrantied one on next time I get a chance and wait until it starts clunking then take it back and do it again, by that tme I will hopefully be in a new truck

I've never even heard of a problem like this so it's kind of hard to condemn the leveling kit without solid proof. I'd love to know what the cause is if you find it.

havent replaced mine yet but they are clunking a lot. I do have my torsion bars cranked about 2.5" inches and it didnt start doin it untill then so maybe thats it? I am about to change mine in the next few weeks so Ill let you know. Im assuming thats what my clunking is because I have new lower ball joints, new shocks, new rack and pinion with inner tie rods and replaced a driver front cv shaft due to a busted booth. so most of my front end is new
