I will try and get it hooked up to a scanner but i had the trans serviced not to long ago with a full flush and everything so idk why it would be that and it only knocks when the idle drops below 500 rpm before it drops there is no knocking of any sort, do you still think its the trans plate?

I can also feel the tapping in my seat and it only occurs when the truck sits in park and the trucks idle drops to 500 rpm when it is usually around 610. Also at time when I first run the truck it has problems shifting from 4th to 5th. Please help thanks.
I have a similar problem shifting to high when the transmission is cold. After mine warms up it will then go ahead and shift.

I haven't notice a significant drop in mpg associated with the slow shifting. Mine will finally shift after 3 or 4 miles even in cold weather. If yours takes long enough to shift, it will lower your mpgs. My "late" shifting started before transmission service (fluid and filter etc) and is still doing it after.
