Default crank sensor replaced now truck runs like crap

crank sensor replaced now truck runs like craput it was a crate motor with 20,000 miles n I got it all done and it ran good nice and strong then it would die at a stop sign or nearly die. I replaced the iac already and it didn't change n I've drove it multiple times then I replaced the crank sensor and it runs like crap won't accelerate just runs like crap and there's a high pitch tick coming from back of motor...wtf..does the motor have to be at tdc cause its supposed to read when the motor is at tdc I'm confused and already called orielys and its the right part..I'm pretty much restorin truck rust repair bodywork now motor n its just in primer and blown apart so I can't take in to have a code ready put on it and I need it running by the end of january Itake it back to dmacc to paint it then... thanks for readin any ideas much appriciated

I NEVER use aftermarket crank or cam position sensors. You may very well have gotten a defective part.

If you want OEM, you probably will need to visit a dealer. As for what it messed up, you know better than anyone how it ran with the old sensor versus the new.
