So I stepped it up over the holidays. Decided to level and put some new wheels and tires on. Looks awesome, and love the truck so far. I picked the truck up about two months ago. It is a 2010 Ram 1500 ST 4.7 with 50,000 miles on it. I know everyone would rather have a hemi, but it is just a daily driver, as long as it gets me around town, it works for me.
18X9 XD misfits 0 offset
297/70/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers
2 inch FBG leveling kit
Bilstein Shocks for a ram 2500 (2 inches longer)
The leveling kit had me back and forth forever. I could not decide if I should go with 2.5 or 2 or even 1.5. So many mixed stories on results if it leveled the truck or not. Well I did it my way and I am sure many have done this before. I set a level on the rail of the bed, jacked the front up until the level said it was level and it was exactly 2 inch higher, so thats what I got. In the end with the 2 inch level and the new shocks, it actually sits about 1/2 higher in the front. I am thinking of adding 1 inch to the rear. It took about two days for the front to settle as it was about two inches higher the first day and the following day was around an inch higher.
Future mod list:
- Window tint - this week
- 1/4 inch wheel spacer - I like how far it sticks out, but for some reason if it would come out just a touch more I think it would be perfect. Anyone running the 1/4 inch on aftermarket wheels to get just a little bit more out of your offset?
- 1 inch rear spacer
- Color match all chrome to match truck
- Magnaflow muffler
- Magnaflow Y pipe
- DIY CAI
- Superchips
So thats it, hope you like and some of this info helps anyones future decisions.
