Default Bad fuel mileage..??

I just got through reading about people not getting good fuel mileage in their Rams. I have 2012 1500 5.7L 4x4 Regular cab, I get about 15 mpg city and 21 mpg at 65 mph on cruise. Personally, I consider this pretty good for a full size 4x4. And Im not light on the pedal by no means. Is anyone else getting bad mileage from their Rams?

I know a few others in here that are. What gear set are you running in your truck?

A friend of mine, who also lives in Florida, has a Hemi Ram with 3.21 gears and he tells me he can squeeze 23-24 m.p.g. out of his. Mileage like that is all but impossibile in east Tennessee due to the mountainous terrain.

Yeah I can understand that. I was also running 87 octane fuel in it too. With 91 octane it could be a little better.

With stock tires I could get 13.5 city driving normally. I switched to all terrain tires and I now get 12.5. Also with the tunes from my T1000 I didn't notice any change.

I get 14 around town and 19-20 on the highway. Illinois isnt nearly as flat as many would think. I am happy with my MPG. Not bad for a 6000lb truck

Agreed 100% lots of weight and not very aerodynamic Imo any average over 13mpg is good but then I don't buy a full size truck for mileage that's what kia and prius are for lol like I said jmo
