Great review!!! I've got the trinity and a K&N CAI on the way currently so I'll add a HEMIFEVER tune to the mix.

Sunshdw...I'd be very curious to see what you think of the canned tunes. In exchange with Saun(misspelled in early post) he share that the 35's I'm running are the culprit of my luggish take off. Even with 3.92's the tires are so heavy they just are hard to get going. He suggested 4.56's and a higher stall/torque converter I I really want to get off the line.

Please don't misread :-). DEFINITY GO WITH HEMIFEVER for a custom tune...I would just like to see what your impression is on the SLT vs my lifted rig.

Any thoughts out there on torque/stall converters? Makes, models, and performance. I do tow a 8500# camper during deer season a few times per month. Based on other posts I was thinking about a 2400-2600. Stock appears to be around 1800-2000...insight from members that have done this is appreciated

What is the throttle boost and what does it do? I haven't found it on the trinity yet. Also, did you find an AF ratio gauge on the trinity?

When you plug the trinity up and click performance, it will ask you which tune you are looking to install. Select that tune and the next screen asks if you want to install or modify the tune. Click modify and you will have multiple options. Throttle boost is one of the options. Essentially the way i understand the throttle boost is supposed to work is by increasing sensitivity. our trucks use throttle by wire in which the computer senses the throttle and sends a signal as to how much gas. On my chopper as an example i can tighten my throttle cable and or ger a tighter return spring so that when i throttle up the response is there. If that cable was loose or the return spring was spongy the throttle response would be delayed...similar to our trucks. when i adjusted the throttle boost it seemed to give me a little quicker response and a little umph (maybe more fuel but dont quote me there). You can adjust AF under WOT. To create custom gauges you have to plug in the t1000 and go to the logging section. Create a new log and all aspects you can monitor are listed there. I monitored and logged AF to cyl1 and P map data to ensure the Hemifever tune was dialed in. There are a ton of other monitoring options available and you can create multiple pages. Once you save the pages they show up in your monitoring section vs logging. Hope that helped.

PM me if you want more info and ill send you my # so we can walk through it.

380 miles today towing a trailer loaded with hunting gear. 16x8 trailer, lifted golf cart, 2 55gal feeders, 3 ladder stands, and a bed full of gear. Normally this trip nets 8.2MPGS AND I have to fill up when I get there...today with tune 10.7MPGs. I started without tow haul on and was getting 9.8 with my tranny temp dancing around 175. I dropped into tow haul and tranny temp dropped to 155 in 3-5 min and at the end of the trip i was 10.7 mpg. Everyday that goes by I am more and more impressed with hemifever tune! Had about 500 pounds more on my way back as I brought back a bunch of gear for maintenance.

Any feedback on a torque converter? Will it help that much? Will it impact towing?

Default Help with Superchip Flashpaq

I have a 2007 Ram 1500 with the 5.7 Hemi. I have made some mods as follows; Volant cold air intake system with Ram air scoop, Dynatech headers with high flow cats system with a flow master cat back exhaust. I have a Superchip flashpaq tuner with advanced tuning options. I'm trying to determine the best settings to get the best performance out of my Hemi. Until I can get the Diablo Trinity tuner and have to use what I have. Can anyone help me out?

Glad to see a custom tune did you right. I've never ran one of those junk tunes that comes with a handheld.

A 2600 stall maybe your best choice. It will put the truck in the powerband quicker making it easier to tow. Most of the post i have read is that if you tow then 2600 to 2800 is the highest you would want to go. Some memeber have talked about seeing an increase in mpg due to the improved abilities of the converter.
