Default 3/8" spacers on factory wheels

As I posted in another thread, I just had some 35" Toyo MT's put on my factory wheels. It's a 2011 CC 4x4. There is some rubbin on the a-arms at full turn. A buddy gave me some 3/8" spacers to help with this. Do you think I would be ok running this on a factory wheel/studs setup?

And they don't quite measure 3/8", more like 1/2".

3/8" is still good and the max before you want wheel adapters. So Joel is correct.
But 3/8" works

Put them on and tighten them down. How many full turns can you get on the lug nuts? Personally I am not a fan of generic spacers, you are moving the wheel load out towards the end of the OE studs.

Even with spacers you may still rub some at full turn...
I have had 7mm (1/4") spacers on my 2007 4x4 for 5 years and no issues but I too was told not to exceed 1/4" with just a spacer and I didn't want to put an adapter on. As has been said here, you are pushing the wheel away from the truck creating more stress...but 1/4" is fine from what I can tell. I had some custom made wheel AND hub centric ones made specifically for my truck and stock wheels and they fit great...when I just used a generic spacer I had BAD wobble in the steering.

One note on the Toyo MT's though...even with 1/4" spacers mine rubbed some when turning...these are actually 35" tall (many 35s are 34.5") and they are 13" wide with those awesome looking aggressive side lugs...

So I recommend having a hub/wheel centric 7-8mm wheel spacer made...widens the track some also and looks cooler.

Have any photos of your truck? What's the setup (lift wise)?
