Default Raptor Bed Liner

Edit: After looking this is probably the wrong part of the forum for this. Mods please move if needed.

Well after hanging around here for a few weeks and getting some information about spraying bed liner material on the lower quarters I decided to jump in head first and spray my 03 Ram. I ordered the Raptor Liner kit that comes with the liner material, hardener and spray gun. Super easy to mix up and spray. Of course the prep to the longest amount of time, but was not very difficult. I ordered a 6" abrasive nylon brush cup that mounted to my buffer. This cut down sanding time by about 70%. Some wire tape and pretaped plastic sheet and it was ready to spray. I plan on ordering some more liner material and spray the lower section of the front bumper and the grill and the top of the bed rails. That should finish up everything that I need to spray. The grill is coated in plasti-dip at the moment. It gave me a chance to see if I liked it black or not. I do.

Just a couple of pics taken today after we got the truck washed and cleaned up.

Looks great man! Do you have fender flares on it, or does it just look that way because of the spray job?

Thanks for the compliment. Those are flairs I picked up off of Ebay. They helped cover some body repair over those rear fender wells.

Pics before flairs were added:

That looks REALLY nice. I've toyed with that idea myself. Granted my truck is already black, but I thought it would look good with the lower panels done in some kind of bed liner or the like. Keeps rock chips down, so on and so forth.

Also need to fix rust on my rear fenders too. Such a PITA. Need to do something though before it gets so big a flare won't cover it.

Thanks for the compliment. You can also get the Raptor Liner in clear and add a base coat color of your choice. A dark charcoal maybe would look real good with the black, but then again I do like two tones. Also with out question just the black liner and texture would add a lot to the looks of the black paint. Good luck with the rust repair. As you said, it is a PITA, but I am hoping I have slowed it down a bit.

Well we finally got finished up with the bed liner application today. We got the front lower bumper, step bars, inside the doors and bed rails all sprayed. I decided not to spray the grill, but did leave the grill inserts blacked out with the plasti-dip. Also removed all the chrome lettering. I like it much better without all the letters on it.

Damn that looks great man!!! I've been planning on doing this for a long time and I think I might just have to as soon as the weather gets warmer.

Do you happen to have a close up of what the texture looks like?
