Default In-Cabin Air Filter

I know the interior air box is enclosed, but there are some videos on YouTube where people have modified the air box (cut the front opening) so that the in-cabin filter can be replaced. I bought the truck used, and it was apparently on a farm or something, as it was pretty dusty down in the cracks and corners of the dash, and the air has a little bit of a stale/dusty smell, so I was hoping to change the filter. There is an indentation in the front of the air box where it appears there was supposed to be a door, and from what I have seen on these videos, this is where they're being cut and a door installed (although I don't know where they get the replacement piece/door). Anyone have any ideas or advice? Thanks!

A bunch of us have done this mod. It literally takes 5 maybe 10 mins tops. I reccommend it. Make sure you get a charcoal activated filter if you want to filter out any outside smells

Yep. I cheaped out and got a standard paper filter, will replace with a charcoal filter. The mod itself is silly easy.

Got it done last week...very easy like everyone said on here, although the parts store didn't have the charcoal filter in stock, so for now, I put the basic filter in, but I've already noticed the difference. Thanks again to all that replied!
