Default Chip for hemi?

I'm considering getting a chip for my truck but I do have a couple questions
1. Do chips really do anything? Even worth the money
2. What am I lookin at price wise?
And lastly if u chip your truck first can you also use a programmer or is it one or the other? Thanks guys

Chips= worthless

Programmers= AWSOME

I would never recommend any kind of "chip" as all they do is trick the computer into dumping more fuel and maybe more spark, most will report worse mileage and little to no gain in horsepower.

I would recommend a programmer/tuner as they actually reflash the computer and you will see the best gains with them, yes they cost a little more but you wont be disappointed, a couple great programmers i can think of for you truck would be DiabloSport Trinity t1000, DiabloSport Intune, BullyDog gt tuner, and superchips vivid linq.

If you are interested in one let me know i will get one out to you at the lowest prices available with free shipping .

Thanks
Jeremiah

Thanks for the reply I've been looking at the bullydog gt because I really like the option of buying a pillar mount for it instead of the suction cup

I've read with interest the various posts regarding chips & programmers.
I'm getting a reman 3.7 engine in my 02 Ram 1500 next week. The previous engine got horrible MPG, (approx 14-city).....I was plan to monitor the MPG for several weeks, and if I don't see a big improvement, I was going to invest in either chips or something.
This is not a 'performance' vehicle. I just need good MPG and occasionally, pull a trailer.
Using 87 octane, for a 'runabouttown' vehicle, what do ya'll recommend?
I've review the discount auto parts site.....lots of confusing choices......
thanks.....

Just my two cents. I bought a Cortex 3950, and I'm happy as hell with it. I thought about the Diablo, but I mostly just wanted the "MDS DELETE" feature, and the 3950 delivered.

As an aside, (I have an '08 HEMI Ram) I added the "91 octane supertune" and it really did make a difference.

the superchips 3950 is as well a great product it does deliver hust doesn't have all the features of the DiabloSport but the performance is there and it can turn off the MDS

Andyone interested in the SuperChips/BullyDog/DiabloSport items feel free to check them out we stock them all!!!

Thanks
Jeremiah
