Just checked my fuse box and manual. The back seat power outlet is selectable - the front is not.

The attached photo shows the two fuses circled. The one on the right is for the back seat has two positions - the position it is in is for always hot. I moved it to that position and confirmed it is now hot when the truck is off.

The one on the left is for the center console and as you can see, cannot be moved.

Note the top of the picture is towards the windshield.

Weird. My 2013 seems to have an opposite setup. The USB in my centre folder turns off with the truck and the USB on the centre console stays hot.

I love my 03. The cig lighter only hot when the key is on. The lower 12v near the 4x4 shift is always hot and the 12v in the arm rest is always hot.

^^^ Yes, I changed my fuse location to always hot after my first visit in the fuse box. I was looking to see how everything is fused and if there was any extra fuses. Checked it with my meter and then tested the plug with my radar detector. My rear 12V plug is hot all the time. Easy Mod. just move the fuse.

I almost jumped for JOY really - I guess this is helpful - still doesn't make much since to me - why would the Rear be hot? So kids can play games while you leave them in the truck to go to the movies with your date?

IT would be great if the same option worked on the front.

Rep's for this.

This will make my daughters very happy. Everytime I would shut the truck off on our long drive for holidays I would here them in the back. "Ahhhh, Daddy our movie stopped."
