Default A NEW heat problem seriously this has got me stumped

1995 dodge ram 1500 5.9 Typical low-no heat as is common, but with a twist. I just put in a rebuilt engine in my truck, bad rod bearing Anyway so obviously I would replace a few things during the install, plenum gasket fix, bypass hose, water pump, t-stat, and heater lines. I figured this would cure my no heat issue. It did not. I then tried flushing the heater core, nothing impressive came out and both hoses were hot to touch. I replaced the heater core anyway because I could smell a slight antifreeze leak. While the dash was tore apart I verified proper function of the blend door, which is cable operated on my truck and it functions as it should. So to sum it up I have replaced the following: t-stat, all hoses, water pump, heater core, verified function of blend door. And still no heat. What do you guys/gals think? I'm lost....

When you say no heat are we talking ice cold or just lukewarm like you may be getting some heat but not nearly enough?
