Default Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover Factory Option

I can't seem to find, either on this forum or anywhere else, pictures of the Tri-Fold that you can order with the truck from the factory. Does anyone have any pics of the OEM tri-fold? Is it bad news or is it a good unit?

Thanks!

Most of the time when it comes to OEM parts and addons you can get aftermarket that is the same quality if not better for alot less money, I personally do not have any experience with the OEM Tri fold covers, however around here it seems the most popular hard folding bed covers are Bak Industries and Undercover, I would be more than happy to get you information about either one, and pricing on them if you wish, you can check out the Bak Industries line for your model truck HERE

See something you like contact me via any of our contact methods in my signature and I would be more than happy to get you our best price available (9 out of 10 times less than what we have it on the website for just can't advertise prices lower than what is on our site)

If you find something that we do not have in our site let me know what the part number is and if we have it in stock I will let you know our best price on it as well.

Thanks
Jeremiah

Default Tonneau cover

I asked this question a few weeks ago with no answers. In checking it appears it's a metal frame with a soft cover and lock.Go to the mopar web site they have both tonneau covers there, ones list as hard so I assume since they other says vinyl cover it's soft.
I will be buying aftermarket as I want security. Bak-fibermax or Undercover-flex.

Do you also carry the Bakflip VP? And do you happen to ship to Canada? Haven't bought the truck yet, but looking at that model for when I do.

It came as an option on mine. I guess it really depends on what you are looking for in a cover. My old truck had an aftermarket ARE hard cover lid. I found having a bed cover extremely handy over the 10+ years of having one, especially when camping.

This trifold looks nice and will keep my bed items dry. All the while being a cover that I can remove easily by myself (something I could not do with the hard cover) and store it easily out of the way in the garage (another something I could not do with my hard cover).

If you are storing bricks of gold in the back of your truck, then I would not recommend it as it is a metal frame with a soft cover on it and somebody could cut through it if so desired. Not that they can't take a hammer to a fiberglass cover just as easy and get access to your precious cargo. Remember what your high school shop teacher always told you, "A lock keeps an honest man honest, and that is all a lock will do."

All that being said, it seems very durable to me and most of all has a water tight seal on the bed (supposedly, not yet tested that fact as I have only had it a week). I will try to get some pictures taken of mine on my truck so you can see the four releases as well as how it looks on the truck iteslf. I will take it off and give you my full thoughts on how user friendly it is as well. With the current weather, that probably will not be until this weekend.

Great news that you ship to Canada!

Do you carry the BakFlip products that will fit a '13 Ram with the Rambox option?
