Default Hitting head on cross beam?

Kind of a stupid question, but I'm asking before dragging the 6mo old out to the lot. We sat in a 1500 Quad last week and hubby hit his head on a cross member in the roof. Does the crew have the same problem?

The dealer we were at wasn't really interested in letting us look at any other trucks than what was inside the building. He couldn't fold over enough to fit in a Durango either. I've called a few other places but they all want us to 'come in'. Blah.

it looks like the Rams have about a 40" headroom, at least for the 2012s

I've read that. Headroom is a number I'm VERY familiar with. We can't look at anything under 40 inches. He doesn't fit a lot of vehicles. What I was asking about was a cross beam that is just behind the head space of the front row on the 2013 quad cab, and I was wondering if it was on the crew cab as well.

I've looked all over Google images and the interior roof is just not something that they take pictures of.

the main cross beam is of coarse hidden in the space between the roof line & roof liner ,
i have my roof antenna mounted just behind it
, it is in line with the front & rear doors

Hubs was watching the safety video on the Ram site and realized it's the top part of the side curtain air bag. Not a cross member. I'm guessing a newer Ram is off the list now, since he sits tall enough and far back enough to bump his head on it.

I'm 6'5" and have never come close to hitting my head but I have a crew cab if there is any difference. If the truck you were looking had a sun roof that could have been the problem.

I have a 2500 Crew Cab and the cross beam is there as well. I just miss it with the seat all the way down. Oddly enough, I drove one with a manual seat and it felt like that seat sat lower.

Might be a dumb question but was the seat all the way down? The Power Seat does move up and down.
