Of those I like brown with the chrome bumper. It depends on how and where you use it but for me painted bumpers would get chipped and scratched too easily. Gravel roads, sticks and weeds would take a toll on the paint there. I went with a monotone Longhorn just because I didn't want my bumper looking like hell after a year.

Good point on the chrome being better to take abuse and I will use my truck as a truck. On the farm, hunting, gravel roads...

That brings up a good question. I have never owned a new vehicle and around here rust (winter salt) is a huge problem. What does everyone recommend to keep rust at bay outside of the obvious of washing and touchup scratches?

I did my 2012 sport in Krown. It was $139.95 and it'll never go up in price from that original price, EVER! also if you get it done yearly it is gaurenteed against any rust on the body. I asked the owner of the garage where I had it applied and he said any bubble, blister or rust at all it is covered. I know him from playing hockey with his son for a lot of years so I am holding him to this if i ever have rust in future. It is applied at a high temp so it creeps into all the areas where it needs to get.

Not sure where you are from but here in Ontario my friends, family, and I use Krown rust control. It is an oil that is sprayed all over the underside of the truck, in the doors and pillars, under the hood, and in most seams. Works awesome.

I really like the brown and I think the chrome looks great with it.

I have heard of Krown before, but I believe its only in Canada. Is there an alternative in the US, specifically in the Midwest?

Ohio is the furthest western state they list. That's not very west at all. Mainly a Canadian company. Rust check is similar eastern North America and western Canada

I like the Deep Cherry Red but to me color is a very personal choice. ...If I had the choice I would have gotten the True blue two tone on my sport. I went with the Mineral Grey instead because I didn't like the full monotone true blue(looks more purple in person) and since my Jeep is Deep Cherry Red I didnt want that either

Yes that's what I'm referring to. I have a friend who had a Big Horn (has a 3/4 ton cummins now) and he said I would be glad that I went with the Outdoorsman because he hated the dual exhaust because of it. Maybe it's worse up here with the snow/cold and letting them run idle but that's what he said. Constantly having to clean it, etc. I never asked him if he had a problem with rust though.
