Default Please help someone with express or sport model

Hi I'm about to convert my truck to the sport one piece bumper front end. I need to buy fog lights, harness, etc still and there are two options and I'm not sure what I should do. I can buy the oem harness but am not sure there's a place to plug it in on my truck. I could also buy the mopar accessories add on fog light kit that has the harness that you pin in to the TIPM or whatever, but I'm not sure the plugs at the lights are the same as factory.

Can someone with oem sport bumper fog lights please pull one of the plugs off the light and snap a picture of it? And tell me how many pins it has?

And maybe trace the harness back and see where it connects?

Many thanks!

The letters are the part revision - AA is first run, AB is second revision, AC is third, etc.

They supersede each other, and are backwards compatible - i.e. if you want an AA, but they are on AC revision, you'll get AC.

There is no functional difference between the AB and AA parts you list. Many times, the revision is due to manufacturing of the part, supplier, etc, and that is how Chrysler keeps it straight.

Had to get that in eh? lol. I don't care, I'm not trying to pose as a sport or decorate my truck with sport badges, I just like this bumper. Maybe I can call it an express? LOL I'd rather have my truck for what I paid and swap the front bumper and like the look of it and save $10k+

I never said I'm making my truck a sport model. You should PM the guy I'm swapping bumpers with and tell him his truck will never be an SLT.

Thanks GT, I think I have all the parts and numbers I need.

Thanks emjohn, that's exactly the info I needed! I found a good deal on a pair of the AA's but wasn't sure they'd fit/work. I'll order them now, thank you you saved me a lot of money.

My last question is about the plug, can someone with an express or sport please look at the plug that plugs in to the fog light bulb and see how many pins it has, and how many wires, and maybe a pic? Thanks!

Glad I could help.

I'm at work now, so I can't download the FSM - but it does have pin outs of every plug.

The fog light will have two pins and two wires. If the service manual doesn't help, let me know and I'll grab a pic tonight.

The reason I want to know about the pins and connector is because I'm trying to decide if I should buy the following:

Fog light housings(2)
Dash switch
Factory harness(would have to cut the end off that plugs to the TIPM and pin in to the TIPM

OR

Fog light housings(2)
Mopar fog light kit(comes with the dash switch, fog lights(different than factory), and harness that pins in to the TIPM with instructions - just not sure the plugs are identical to the factory fog lights)

I'd prefer option 2 even though it is about $50 more expensive than option 1, just because I'd get the extra lights which I have a plan for, and I'd get instructions, and it would include everything else if there is anything else(fuse, relay, etc).

Ok for some reason I can't download that link. It freezes midway.

From what I can tell though the plugs are the same. Would be nice to get confirmation.
