Default Muffler options

Ok, I'm sure this was discussed before but searching I didn't seem to find what I was looking for.
What I am looking for is just a little more tone and rumble. This thing does haul my family on trips up north so I don't want it loud at all. I just want a little more than stock.
What muffler is also a direct swap? Do we have options of that? So I could do it in my driveway and not have to go to an exhaust shop to have it welded in?

Thanks guys.

24" Mufflex from Moe's Performance Will bolt right in. Uses a Magnaflow muffler. Or talk to Matt about the 5x11'' Magnaflow muffler in their cat back system. He will hook you up.

So the 24" would be pretty mild? How bad does it make the eco mode sound while cruising?

get the 18" Magnaflow ....have the shop weld it in. I hear the 14" may be a little loud. The 24" too quite...the 18 is pretty mellow until you get on it

I have an 18" Magnaflow and love it. Had one on my previous Ram also. 24" will give you a little more "tone" but not be loud. But---this is my experience---if you change the stock muffler to any type of aftermarket muffler that increases the sound over stock, when your MDS kicks in on the highway your exhaust is going to sound just like sh*t!!!! And if you get a 14" or an 18" Magnaflow you ARE going to get some drone. The only way to solve these problems is either don't mess with the exhaust system or turn the radio up. This has been my experience, I know many others have exhaust systems that are perfect and they are perfectly happy with them and they will probably disagree with my assessment however this is just my experience.

I went with the 18" Magnaflow kit from Mufflex. For me it is perfect. Nice low tone, can be heard when you get on it. At highway speed not noticeable with a/c and stereo going.

Any Magnafkow will get louder over time. I did a weld in 22" Magnaflow. After a few months.....perfect. Not loud, not aggressive, just nice mellow rumble and fairly quiet at idle
