mine just started getting louder one day. my first thought that someone was trying to cut out my catalytic converter and got scared off but a quick check underneath and everything checked ok. so then i thought that it just got a little louder after a decent break in period, but then last week after i pulled into the driveway i noticed drip marks and a puddle of liquid under the tranny i thought oh crap- tranny leak. but when i crawled under i found that it was a puddle of water.it turns out that there is a joint just under the tranny where 2 sections of pipe are pushed into each other and the hanger/clamp broke allowing the pipes to separate so that there was a gap about an eighth of an inch all the way around letting co, water and a louder sound out took it back to the dealer and the fixed it under warranty.i'm glad it was an easy fix and that we wont get gassed out, but i sure did like the the slightly louder exhaust

Yes the Sport models have a slightly louder exhaust note...not sure how they achieve this...anyone know? I would guess the muffler body is a bit shorter...

I have noticed the same. It has a much more throaty growl to it when starting cold and when i give it gas then when I bought it new. Exhaust or catalyic break in maybe? I like it though!

Any packed muffler has a break in where it gets a bit louder. Chambered mufflers won't so much. Once they expand and contract a few times and the insides get coated with exhaust gases real well they seem to deepen a bit also.

They do get louder over time. I really didn't notice it until I traded my 11 on my 13. The 13 is way more quiet than the 11, even my kids notice the difference.

Mine is little louder at 9000 miles then it was with 5 miles on it and I am in warmer climate. However it's not loud enough to hide sharp metallic knocking sound on cold start
every single morning
