Yeah my 11 had the flat one. This one has me concerned also because I have air suspension and I hope I do not try and pull in the garage in off road one or the shark fin will suddenly be a flat guppie. I imagine it would rip a nice hole in the roof.

x2 on the flat antenna...

Weird that they actually used a different antenna design across border.

USDM guys could probably look into buying a 2013 CDM spec antenna, probably would even be plug and play.

lol... I just did a Google search, and I've never noticed the shark fin difference until now... That thing is really ugly. I hope my 2014 doesn't come with one of those.

According to that listing, that part number is for #3 in the parts diagram, which would be the flat 'Canadian' antenna.

Looks like the harness is different though.

I suspect the difference being uConnect connectivity.

So any chance they would work? I would leave the antenna there if it was a swap for the lower profile one, but the current fin, if not in the middle looks out of place.

Like I said, I don't think it would be a direct swap. It looks like the USDM 'shark-fin' has an additional lead, whereas the flat CDM antenna only has one single lead. I suspect the additional lead on the USDM antenna is for uConnect, which we do not have up here.

If you have a JK Wrangler then it's mounted on top of the rollbar on the passenger side, under some padding.

Some Jeep folks have complained of bad Sirius reception with their Wranglers but the reception in my 2010 Rubicon was at least as good as it is with the Ram's shark fin. But I guess they have their reasons since I see these types of antennas on lots of cars nowadays. Maybe more cars than I realized have built-in cellular connectivity these days.
