Default Back Up lamp ball switch replacement

After troubleshooting why I had no back up lights, I found that the Chiltons manual was incorrect. The manual said that if the ball switch located on the right side of my 2003 Ram 2500 6 speed manual trans shows continuity across the two terminals then it is good. Wrong! My switch showed continuity, but when a load is added the voltage dropped to nothing. After much research on the web, I found a replacement much cheaper than the dealer or any of the parts houses. Dealer price down here is $86.00, parts house wants $43.39. A company in Portland Oregon named simply "ASE Supply co." has them under the part number of "PO-21-370-P" for $5.36 each!! They have a minimum order of $10.00, so I had to buy two, but still a lot cheaper than the stores or dealers are. Got mine today and installed it and works as advertised. The markings on it are exactly like the original one that came out!! Here is the address of the company, but I ordered mine online...

ASE Supply Co.
P.O. Box 30599

Portland, OR 97211-1662

This is the downside to testing continuity. It doesn't test load carrying capability.
