Default Is it really worth it?

I've been looking into getting my 2012 express tuned for a while, and due to the lack of tuners I put it on the back burner...

Well today I read the intune dcx and the trinity will work on my 2012. Now I read the tunes that come with them lack luster... and a hemifever is all most a must have.

I can get the intune dcx+hemifever tune for about the same price as the trinity. But I would really like the gauge feature of the trinity...

Is spending $600ish for a trinity+himifever really worth it?

My mods are intake and cutouts right now.

I plan on...

in the next 2 years pre 36k miles I plan on doing
Intake
headers
dual exhaust
TB

Post 36.1k miles...
Ripp super charger

if you plan on headers than I'd say go with the diablosport. right now people are having issues with the intune so I'd probably not choose that one. your paying $599 for the trinity through hemifever with his tuning so thats a great deal. or you could find it somewhere else for a few bucks cheaper and have to pay $125 to get his tuning. I believe he does free re-tunes as needed. so as you add parts you can just send him new files. I chose bullydog due to their canned tunes are stronger than diablosports. I am adding long tube headers this summer. Im going to stick with the bullydog just to see how it works but may eventually switch over to the trinity for some custom tunes

If you're doing headers I agree, the custom tune is the best bet. I love my Bully Dog but if I was going to do more mods the diablo would be my choice. And yes, it’s worth it!

It really is worth it, and with the mod path you have planned I would say the trinity+custom tune would be the best bet.The heads-up display and ability to monitor the parameters makes the trinity the winner, IMO. I also would go as far to say that yes, the custom tune is almost a necessity w/ the trinity!

Wouldnt havent a trinity make it harder to hide for any dealer warranty issues? Thats the main reason i am going for the intune is that i can quickly load a stock tune back in and leave no physical trace in the truck about having a tuner in it

I was also told that adding the basic bolt ons later on after the hemifever tune will not require a retune, that the tune i get will work with any basic bolt ons that i add on after. It's only when you step up to the heavier mods like cams etc, that you need to retune it
