So your saying, tuned and all set up, a truck, that has DOUBLE the horse power and torque, and only has an extra 2,000 lbs, but making up for that in power, is going to run SLOWER then a mid sized SUV with a 6 cylinder and half the power?

Mine in particular had 500lbs extra of audio equipment in the cargo area too. Dont get me wrong. I just want to understand this. Im looking to do an exhaust and CAI on my truck, but if spending all this money is going to leave me trailing an older truck that I got rid of for a faster truck, im puzzled.
At the wheels, our truck pushes 300, so paired with the 6k lbs, its not going to boogy.
Im still questioning the time you ran with the blazer tho

just cant see it either man, there must be some major difference in the blazer vs silverado cause those things with the 4.3 are gutless to say the least

That thing hauled ass. I miss that Vortec. best motor I've ever owned, till my hemi. Like mentioned, I had the Airraid CAi and Flowmaster exhaust, which didnt really add much, but that hypertech was a beast. 30hp gain, removed limiter, increased rev limits. I dont even know if Hypertech is still around to be honest. Google shows many results similar to what I ran. Like mentioned though, that was my BEST time. Didnt mean I hit it all day long, but I did hit it once, so thats my best time. That was with all my gear removed from the truck. All amps. W7's removed, dynamat, spare batteries, spare tire, amp rack, etc...

It does not weight 6800 lbs Thats the gross weight. It weights from 5200 to 5300lb. I looked it up online Thats a 4x4 crew cab with the hemi.A stock ram 1500 is listed at 14.8 at 92 mph and 6.2, 0 to 60. It was faster than the silverado, ford 150 ecoboost and nissan titan.

something doesnt sound right
It was on a back road and there was a slight up hill. I thought it was slow too

stock 4.3 s-series trucks/suv's run MAYBE 16's to 15's on a good day. Add 30hp with a tuner an you're not going to drop 1-2 seconds. The 4.3 is an ok engine, but everyone familiar knows it's not the greatest design marvel. They took a 350 and chopped off 2 cylinders(low budget) to make a gas saver. It has fair torque and mpg is I guess okish(nothing amazing) but it has had severe issues with balancing. Hence all the counterbalance shafts and other things they added through the years(reducing power). It's a decent engine for a low budget design(or lack thereof). It certainly isn't fast. Like I said above, even the "flagship" s-series, the SS, didn't run better than 15's stock.

something doesnt sound right

I owned a 4.3l. It's a bone.
Half aced attempt to save engineering money by re-using 1960's pre-existing designs. No torque above 4k rpm's, bad internal vibrations. Primitive intake, exhaust, not to mention it used an obsolete distributor.

Even if you raised the 195 flywheel HP to 220, That would still defy all, to accelerate a 5,000 truck in 14.3 seconds. Something, doesn't sound right...
