WiFi has been an option since at least 2009, possibly before
I added it after i bought the 2009 Ram
It is quite expensive & if you have any Smart Device, use it instead of purchasing the remote WiFi, having it installed, then paying the yearly FEE
I bought it thinking that i could make an adaptor, 115VAC to 12VDC & use the units both in the Ram & in Motel rooms, back in 2009/2010 not many cheaper motels ( Motel 6 ) had WiFi in the rooms.
Now almost all motels have WiFi & for $2 you can use it for 12 hours
You can go to many coffee shops & use their WiFi for the price of a cup of coffee
Many shopping malls have free WiFi any where on the property
Unless you are out in the boondocks, working construction, where there is no cell phone coverage & need the ability to send & receive Faxes, Email, or chat in Forums & other chat rooms, buying the WiFi is too expensive to add to your vehicle.
click on the CNET video, lower left of the page, it explains it pretty well
If others are within around 100 feet of the WiFi device in your vehicle, i think somewhere between 10 to 16 people can be online at once
The 2013 Rams have a radio or 2 that have WiFi built in to the radio & it can be activated, again at a price.
I think it would be the RA3 & RA4 radio models, they both have the touch screens
It can also be found at CRUTCHFIELD
