Default Re-chargable Flashlight In Rambox

I wanted to mount my rechargeable flashlight in the cab like I had done in my previous truck but thought, why not mount it in the Rambox. Has anyone else done this and if so give me some details or ideas as to figure out the best way to do this. Thanks.

Neat idea. Let us know how wiring goes, and send pics! I always liked the plug in Toyota puts in their beds of the Tacoma. Wonder if that is an option.

I was actually thinking of adding a HD power inverter in one of the rambox's when I get my Laramie. I would just run a 4-AWG off the positive battery term with a inline fuse at the battery. Then run a ground from bellow to the frame. was also going to add a relay to it from RUN on fuse so that the inverter only operates when the truck is running.

Now for you to run just rechargable flashlight ( I assume its a 12v rechargable one) then you don't need that big of a cable. You may also want to attach it with a relay to a RUN fuse so that it only charges when the truck is in acc or run. that way it isn't draining the battery.

The way I had it hooked up in my other truck was straight to the battery. If I was not going to start truck for several days I would just remove the flashlight.
I think I'll try this but, I think I'll wait until it warms up a bit. Thanks for the input guys.

Just remember to add a inline fuse at the battery. this will protect the electrical system incase of any shorts.

I really like that Scooped. Now I have to find my plug...I cut it off so as to straight wire it to the battery. I really like that though, good idea.

I wired two of them (one in each Rambox) and an inverter for charging my power tools while I'm driving - worked out really well.

I think I'll order 2 of 'em also and use the other one for the same thing as you. Thanks again for the heads up.
