I found that for a less "optioned out" truck the Ram Sport was a better value than the Ford FX2 that I was comparing it with.

Many of the items that come standard on the Ram aren't available on the F150 at all unless you add the $5.4k "402A Equipment Group" (which includes leather, which I didn't want. Then add another ~$900 for 20" wheels.

Also, like what was said above, looks count for a lot and the Ram beats the F150 inside and out in that regard.

What pushed me to order the Ram over Ford was the ride comfort and cabin noise. There is no comparison if you ask me. Ram didn't win North American Truck of Year for nothing.

I say that, and all I've ever owned was GM and Ford trucks!

ShaneDiddy, thanks for the info, I'll take a look.

I agree with everyone's comments. Rams look best hands down. And yes, on the F-150 threads I'm sure they'll be saying just the opposite in favor of their trucks.

Thanks everyone

If you are looking at a FX4 vs Sport of Laramie i prefer the Ram their is more options for the price. Also if you are looking at the ecoboost then go for sure with the ram. I also looked at the ford they are nice trucks but for me they were no where close to a price of a ram with options to match. I have never once had a problem with a Hemi motor this is my third ram truck first one had 370000k on it. Had to replace front wheel bearing but that was minor. I think ford pushes the fact they didn't take a goverment bailout so they think they are perfect and top seller however we all seem to forget 3 years prior how ford was in bankrupsy.
Anyways both nice trucks i think the Ram is more dependable in my opinion. Have had a few electrical issues with my 2013 but they have been minor and expected on a new model year truck.

Because many of you did this comparison and decided on Ram. Curious why you chose Ram. Should I ask you why you chose a Ford instead on this Ram forum, that would make a lot of sense.

I was looking at the FX4 when I purchased my Laramie. Both trucks were amazing to me but I chose the Ram based on the price being cheaper and the dealer giving me way more for my trade it. I LOVE my Ram and will be keeping it for many years to come, but to be honest, if price was the same for a leather interior FX4 with ecoboost and 20's, I would be posting on a Ford forum right now, lol. If it was $4000 less, it would be a no brainer... For me. Either way, I don't think you can go wrong with the Ram or the F-150. Both are great trucks with MANY loyal followers.

The only things I like better on the F150 are:
- Ecoboost
- HID Headlights
- Flat rear floor with flip up seats (crew)

Other than that I like everything else on ram better. My fav ram features are:
- Exterior Looks
- Much better interior quality
- Rambox
- no key entry/push to start
- price here is thousands cheaper
- I'm one of the few that like the 8 spd shifter knob.

The feature that would trump everything for me is that built in rack on the ford atlas concept at the Detroit auto show. Best truck idea ever IMO.

I just came from the Ford Family. I had a 2011 F150 Platinum, it was a great truck and the ones before it were great trucks also. I wanted something a little different this time so I went to the Ram dealership and looked around. I found a 2013 Laramie Longhorn that I really liked. I liked all the features on the truck like the Rambox, little storage compartments in the cab, a very good looking truck. I would rather have the radio out of the F150. I haven't even had the Ram for a week yet, but I am enjoying it a lot so far.
