Lets face it! the Ram is the best looking truck on the road. Thats why i bought it of course. It's one thing to say you "Got a better deal but another to know you got the nicest looking truck, inside and out.

Better looks in and out, better price and a Hemi... What more could a guy want ? loll I was going to buy a Ford FX4 with all the bells and whistles butwhen I say that at 300$ more a month... I was like WTF? why? Just didn't seem worth it. Now if it could fly... it would be another story.

What made me go with ram over the f150 was price and better warranty. The ram offered more value for the dollar. The ford dealers in my area would not deal as much on their trucks. Overall I think they are both good trucks. I would have been happy with either one.

$4k cheaper for a Lariat would be extremely tough for me to pass on. But you have to buy based on what is important for you, form, function etc.

Also, check dealer rater, google reviews & the like to see how each dealers service department is in case you have a issue.

I chose the Ram because it was 5k less than a comparable Ford. If I was to do over again I would get the Ford with the eco-boost in a heartbeat. The MDS on this truck is intrusive, I hate it. The gas tank slosh that hits you in the back sucks. The gas milage is god awful! This hemi can't out accelerate a 4 cylinder coming out of the hole. 6 speed trans is a mess as shifts like an old lady on ice.Yes I have had Fords before however I'm not a fan boy, just like good products and its my opinnion that the Ford is the much better product. At resale you will get more as well.

Ram lured me away from Ford with

1- Better/more features
2- Better interior
3- Better riding
4- Better looking

Things I wish I could have on my Ram that I could get on an F150:

Electronic locking differential.
7200lb GVWR instead of 6800 on crew cab 4x4.
Ability to get less than 20" wheels on most high end models.
Offroad package including LT tires.
Better cargo capability in the back seat with the flat floor and fold up seats.

If I were buying purely on capability I would get the F150. But I think the Ram is a nicer truck, at least on the high end.

Wow I find mine shits well, I never notice a slosh and it accelerates hard, not race car fast but for a heavy truck it does well. And resale value in canada becuase the market is so full of fords because companies use them as their throw away company trucks, is 20-30% less.

I can agree with all of that. And add to the wish list Ford's heavy duty tow/haul package and door keypad (that thing is so useful I'm really surprised no one else offers it). Regarding the less than 20" wheels, you can order a Laramie, at least, with 17" wheels.

If I end up buying a truck other than the Ram, it will be because the payload is just simply too low to accept for anything other than a toy to play with.

I love the keypad but I'm not going to miss it too much with the keyless push button start. The fob will just stay in my pocket.

I kind of thought the same thing at first, but the question is a fair one. I liked the overall package including the looks of the Ram over Ford, I had an early Ram that served me well, my auto mechanic said he sees more Fords for repairs and often the same repairs and service are more time consuming to service than the Ram. Finally while I found the Ram to be less expensive than Ford, because of reasons already state, I would still choose the Ram. It sounds like price is very if not the most important factor for you, so if that is the case, it is an easy choice.
