Don't think I posted this here, heck I don't post much at all. I work at a Chevy dealership as a detail manager and have access to all the used trades. They were about to tow a 97 Ram off to be wholesaled when I noticed this light bar in the bed. I've been looking for one for ages cause I thought an old school one would look sweet on a newer truck and I was right, in my opinion.
3" aluminum with 4 KC lights. The lights work but one of the housings has cracked. Has a 3rd brake light on the second tube and all wiring runs through the first tube. My buddies say I should paint it black to match the truck but I think the aluminum sets it off. Thoughts? I eventually plan on replacing the lights.
I am having trouble mounting it as it seems the cab height on the newer Rams is a bit taller than on the older ones. The bar is about 1.5" shorter than my roof line so I spaced the lights up about an inch. Also the rear fender wells are shorter on mine so the back bar isn't positioned properly in the notch. Minor details but with some modifications it should be fine, it's just a light bar anyways...
And before someone points it out, my truck came debagged from the factory. I wanted Hemi badges but didn't like the looks of the ones that were supposed to be on the so I picked later model ones up from a customer who wanted them removed.
Sorry for the crappy cell pics.
Edited to add: I noticed these pics are BEFORE I raised the lights up.
