Default Slow Leak in Driver Front Tire

I thought I had a nail or something in my tire but it turns out I don't. I went to the tire store yesterday to have it fixed and the leak is coming from my wheel sensor. The nut that holds the stem/sensor to the rim is cracked. Does anyone know if I can just buy the nut, or do I have to buy the entire sensor just to get the piece I need? Thanks ahead of time. Tim C

You have to buy the sensor as far as I know but surely someone had an extra lying around. I have several in my tool box for just this reason.

I just had the same issue on my 2009 Ram. The tire shop charged me for a rebuild kit that replaces everything except the sensor. They charged me in the area of $8 for the kit. I'm surprised your tireshop didn't recommend this unless there are different types?

Thanks for the info. Hated to do it but I went to the dealer. They actually had the piece in stock for less than $5. I do think I am going to buy one of those rebuild kits from Ebay just to have on hand. Tim C
