Default P0307 Cylinder Misfire after Dead battery help!

so i have an 03 ram 4.7. The truck has ran perfectly other than the battery was noticeably on its way out. I drive it almost every day, and yesterday when i started it i drove around a bit and it was running rough. I got a flashing CEL and i scanned it for a P0307, misfire on cylinder 7. I parked and turned it off, instantly dead. After a jump the truck i drove around for a while and parked and once again dead. I replaced the battery and everything runs perfect now except the misfire came back with the same code. could it have been misfiring because of the lack of power, and now the plug is fouled? What would you guys recommend?

I don't think so. I would start with checking the plug and coil pack for proper operation. If they're working as designed, I would look at the possibility of a stuck valve.

Ok i will check. Do you think this has to do with the dead battery or just coincidence?

I seriously doubt the battery is part of the problem.

i agree i think my crappy luck is all that is in play haha. Ok so i swapped coils from cylinder 7 with the misfire to cylinder 3. Now the p0307 code s gone but i have a p0300 for random misfires. would you say this is just the coil then, or do i need a coil and spark plug for 7, or should i keep digging?
