Default Installing Rigid Lights

I just added a Westin Bull Bar and I am about to install a 20" Rigid light bar. I want to use the blank switches next to my seat heater etc., the Dodge dealer said those empty switches cannot be used and they don't sell accessories switches that can utilize that slot. Anyone have any experience with this and any suggestions? I would rather use them and keep the clean look than have a misc. switch mounted on my dash somewhere.

I haven't tried adding any switches in my Ram's yet but I was thinking the same way as you but then I used to have import cars years ago and for the lighting and some other features I used a remote. Just throw it in the arm rest till you need it then take it out and it also keeps you from having to run any wires into the truck since the relays and control box all sit under the hood. Just one idea to keep it simple. I think some of the light companies actually sell a kit. Never got to the off road lights yet.

This isnt a bad idea at all....
but OP, worse case is you can always buy a switch and drill a hole in the empty space and place that switch in there.
It wont look stock, but its def doable and there is tons of space behind there.

Under that bank of switches, there should be a panel that says RAM. On the chassis body trucks (4500/5500) models, those have aux switches. You can buy that plus wiring harness for about $150. I know a few of the Power Wagon guys are using it. Search the power wagon section here for Mopar Auxillary Light Switch Panel
That will show you what I mean. Looks stock and nice and clean. If I add lights, I will do that.

This is very true too.

Unfortunately for those guys with heated/cooled seats and heated steering wheel, that is used

With your Westin Bull Bar can you still use your tow hooks?

don't think so the bull bar mounts to the same place where the hooks mount.

Yes, the Bull Bar does allow you to keep the factory Tow hooks. The problem is that any real serious use will probably scratch/tear up the bull bar.
