Default Autozone: "What is a Bosch style relay?"

I stopped at Autozone the other day to pick up some auxiliary lights to use on the back of my truck. When I asked the guy working there where they kept the relays he asked me what kind and what for. I told him a "Bosch style" relay so I could wire up the lights. His reply was, "I don't know, go ask the guy over there". Now the "guy over there" I recognized as someone who has worked there for years. I asked him the same question and he told me "I don't know what you mean by "Bosch Style" relay. Hmmmmmm.....really?? I explained to him that I wanted to wire the lights through a 4 or 5 pin relay and have them triggered by the reverse lights and he looked at me like I had three heads! I finally just gave up, put everything that was in my hands back on the shelf and left the store. Now granted, I admit I am no mechanic and maybe didn't know the exact terminology but you would have thought I was asking for something out of the ordinary. I mean, even if they didn't have one (which I would find extremely hard to believe), shouldn't he have at least known what I was talking about??? Good help is hard to find I guess.....

bosch is probably brand name (like Kleenex) but is used as a reference to know what you're talking about- they didn't though.......anyways to help you know what you need probably this from their own site: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...er=341095_0_0_

In the store I'd say splurge for the best kind they have, i've gone the cheap route only to get home and find it was dead already or didn't last. the good ones are a few cents or dollar more, go that route!

That's the correct relay. Those are the easiest to use for what you're wanting to do.
