Default 2001 2500 5.9L Auto Tranny Help!

Newbie here so I'm sure someone has had this issue before.

I have a 2001 Ram 2500 with the 5.9L V8 and Automatic Transmission

Yesterday while getting the blizzard of 2013 here in Massachusetts I was plowing with my dodge.

After a while the transmission popped into Neutral and then wouldn't go back into Drive or Reverse. If I shut off the truck and turn it back on it goes right into gear, It last about 1 minutes then slips into Neutral again. If I shut off the truck and restart it goes into gear again I could push over a mountain of snow as long as it's in the first minute before it slips into neutral.

Is this a filter?, If the tranny was starting to go I would think It would slip when pushing the snow.

Any help is much appreciated!

Thank you

Start with the obvious and verify the fluid level and condition.

Default Transmission Shifting problem

To bad you dont live around me. You can get a good tranny for $100 at a junkyard instead of fixing the one you have now
