Do you have stock manifolds or headers? If stock man. Try flowmaster 50 hd #9530572 about $150 bucks but was designed for the 5.7 hemi. Int. Cyl. Pressure is reduced due to larger ports. Dyno has proven between 5-7 hp gain per flowmaster!!! Hope this helps.

"For these trucks 2 1/4" piping is the best size for duals imo." S.C. Express, are you talking about running 2 1/4" pipe from manifold to tips or just part of the way or what?

Gonefishin776, thanks for the sound clip, sounds good! I would also like to hear the flowsuper10 in person. They say it's "as close to straight pipe as you can get" so I'm thinking just go straight pipes, it's cheaper! lol

Preacher Man, I have stock manifolds but isn't the flowmaster 50 a quieter muffler?

I cut my muffler out last weekend and love the sound so I ordered a Magnaflow y-pipe from eBay and I plan to run straight pipes with the cats in place.

That's what I figured you meant, but wanted to make sure. And that's what size my duals are. My y-pipe is 3" in, dual 2.5" out and the duals after that are 2 1/4". The y-pipe came in today so hopefully I can have it installed next week!

LMK what you think afterwards. I really want to do this but I am having trouble deciding what to do next with my mod money. Really want a Vararam next.

Had my y-pipe installed today and kind of regret it. I knew it'd be a little quieter in the cab but it also sounds quieter standing outside. I liked the rumble in the cab so any ideas of what would be the best thing for me to do?

...cutouts...I'd rather sacrifice sound for performance.. or take the cats off...

Well my truck doesn't ever see the track so I'm not too worried about a little performance difference. I wanna be able to hear my exhaust. I loved how it sounded right after I cut the muffler out, so I may end up doing away with the duals altogether and dump it. Decisions, decisions!
