Shell Rotella T 0-40 is a high detergent diesel Full Synthetic oil. Its cheap and it keeps the engine internals really clean.

Does your Hemi have the Hemi "tick" with the 40 weight diesel synthetic?

Nope. Neither did my 2010. It had 25,000 miles on it when I switched to the 2013. The engines were/are very quiet when at idle

I've used Mobil 1 for years in my cars. Does anyone know when it will get the Chrysler approval? I'd like to go to synthetic at my first oil change.

I could be wrong but I think the underlying problem with M1 and Chrysler is the lack of specified weight required by Dodge for the 392 SRT engine. I think it's something like 5-40, a weight not offered yet by M1. Don't let anyone kid you, M1 is excellent oil.
