Default Mysterious message in EVIC ??

I've been getting a strange message popping up the last few days in the EVIC and have no idea what it's for, "Memory System Unavailable Not in Park" I didn't check owner's disk/manual figured it's easier to get straight to the point here. This site is great for lazy readers.
Thanks in advance any help is appreciated.

pretty sure if you searched the message you would find the answer just as quick.

but, from what I've read to date, there may be an issue with the seat memory button on your seat, the EVIC thinks the memory button is being pressed, but when the truck is not in park this feature is disabled.

not sure if it's a faulty switch or something is bumping the button.

either way that's why you get the message, suspect you need to bring it in to get your dealer to look at it, sounds like a warranty issue.

You are not the first person to ask that question & they did not say what caused it, or what the cure was

It may take a dealership fix, that they call a Flash

Can i ask which radio that you have ?
If it is one of the 8.4" a or an / RA3 or RA4 radios
they are 1/2 entertainment system & 1/2 computer to run the Ram's electronics, including the EVIC

That is one of the issues that im having with my 13 Laramie. Dealer doesnt have a clue and claims Chrysler has heard of it before. I also have some other electrical issues. I have a service appointment tomorrow to address these issues. If it isnt resolved tomorrow, dealer will be giving me another new ram. I have 600 miles on it and been to the dealer three times counting tomorrow. I truely hope they can fix it cause i have alot of money invested in it already, but I will no longer accept the truck as is.

What other problems have you had? I hope they get everything resolved. I am concerned about all the little electrical gremlins I have been reading about. Ram needs to get infront of all these problems. The truck I have ordered will be my first Ram. Honestly, the reason I never had one before was because I was concerned about the reliability reputation Chrysler vehicles have developed. I thought those had been resolved. I certainly hope they have been. If not, I won't have this truck long.

My check engine light keeps coming on. The error code comes up as a communication error. The dealer and Chrysler don't have a clue what's causing that. My compass goes all crazy from time to time. The remote start and eco function are disabled when the engine light is on. Pretty frustrating when you pay $40000 for a truck not to have the remote start not to work. Specially when you live in the true frozen north.

BigHorn, Thanks that's what I was thinking but not sure if anything else in the radio would send that message.

GTyankee I have 8.4an and that's what brought the question, wasn't sure if the nav, bing or radio trying to access something??? Looks like a trip to dealership is in near future. I'll post what I find out.
