Given their track record with releasing the 8-speed with the Hemi, you probably won't see the diesel until the 2015 model year.

The way that Chrysler handles business is just retarded. I have been waiting forever after I sold my last daily driver. Wish they just get their shit together!!!

Sure does feel like it, that just tells you to never listen to car salesman again! Thank god I have 2 additional vehicle but racking up miles in those will be quite costly!

I am interested and watching every thread I can find on the VM Diesel. Will I need it, not likely would I like to have one? You bet.... Now I just need to figure out a way to make it affordable enough to convince the wife it is a great option I hate being married to a banker sometimes.

I have 47000 km on my 17 month old Ram Hemi. The way I go through fuel I'll be looking into the diesel for economy. Thankfully I live close enough to our southern neighbors I fuel up in the US of A for about $4.07 per US gallon of 89. In Vancouver 89 octane is about $1.52 per liter or $5.75 per US gallon.

I don't know how well a 3.0 diesel will tow a RV trailer, even with a turbo
it should not have any issues with towing a boat though
The diesels do get better mileage, but diesel fuel costs more, unless you have a BIO-DIESEL source

UREA is not found everywhere, but it does not use a lot of it
i believe it is even at Walmart, or soon will be, at around $7 USD & you will need 5 gallons to fill the urea tank
under the name BlueDEF diesel exhaust fluid is the mixture of high purity synthetic urea and deionized water that is used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems on diesel engines. BlueDEF is injected into the exhaust stream via a controlled dosing module where the water vaporizes leaving ammonia molecules free to travel into the catalytic converter where it reacts and neutralizes the NOx molecules, converting it to nitrogen and water. BlueDEF is not a fuel or fuel additive.

BlueDEF 1-Gallon Diesel Exhaust Fluid:•Colorless
•Non-flammable
•Mixture of high purity synthetic urea and deionized water
•Injected into the exhaust stream via a controlled dosing module
•Water vaporizes leaving ammonia molecules free to travel into the catalytic converter
•Not a fuel or fuel additive

You should also know that peeing in the urea tank will NOT work

You don't want to know the price of 94. Vancouver is anti vehicle and makes no bones about it. They want only the rich to drive. 17 cents per litre of the fuel is a tax for the public transit system and they want to raise it. As well they are discussing road use taxes and tolls.

Diesel right now is less than the cost of 87 Octane. I'd prob still buy it in the US.
