Default Hemi Octane

Is 91 or 93 required in the Hemi?

89 but you can use 87 also, but Ram recommends 89 octane

Default Throttle response only

The only thing different fuel grades do is give you a little more "poop" from the gas pedal.
And remember, the OCTANE rating at the pump is an "average" figure. Which means when you add in all the fuel jobber mixing, seasonal gas or so called "oxygenates", grain alcohol based fuel (midwest corn lobby power!) and station additives, or lack of same - HOPE for the best!

I was using 87 for a little while and was getting around 14.5 MPG. My old man has a ford F150 and uses 89 + 4 oz of marvel mystery oil per 10 gallons and was getting 17 MPG, so I switched to 89 and the MMO, and am currently getting around 16.5 MPG, but that's the only benefit I've seen to using the mid grade gas.

depending where i am & the price of gas
i use 87 if i am just going to drive close to town
if i am going 100 miles down the highway, i use 89 for better power & gas mileage

That is not a bad strategy to save a couples dollars.

I ran 87 in my 09 for as long as u had it and I run 89 in my 13 because it is recommended. Funny thing is my 09 with 110k and 3.92's 2wd got a lot better mpg than my 13 4wd running 89 with 3.55's.

Your 13 ram is still new usually you start seeing alot better MPG after the first 6000 miles plus 4wd also puts a dent in MPG's
