Default 8.4an, satellite and iPod

Maybe it's me, but satellite radio and Songs on my iPod sound like I have a blown speaker. However, hd radio sounds beautiful. Any suggestions?

iPhone/Pod sound really good via the USB cable but you probably are losing some quality via bluetooth.

I also moved my entire MP3 library to a 64GB SD card...direct access, I can control the bit rate I store on the SD, etc.

My Sat sounds pretty good but it depends on the station...

A lot of the Satellite Radio tunes sound like crap, because they were recorded using a device out in the audience, that was being held in someones hand

I have noticed that on my radio & it is not HD, it is just the stock Alpine System
When they play a true recording, i can feel the vibrations in my body, especially the BASS

Same here with the bluetooth, sounds terrible. Use the cable or an SD card. I picked up a 32 gb SD card on ebay for under $20.

iPod is connected through a USB. My iPod library is compressed to fit all on then iPod, so I will just try a few songs uncompressed to see if there is resolve. I wonder what is the largest size SD card we can use in our trucks...or if a portable hard drive can be used.....

128 gb is the largest SD card made (for now) and from what I understand an external hard drive is no problem for the USB port in your truck, though I haven't tried mine in there yet.

There's a fat32 format utility out there I've used...I had a 1TB USB drive attached to my truck before but the delay on initial read was noticeable. I'm opting for an SSD as the prices go down. A 64GB or 128GB SD Card are still the most cost effective solution given their size, speed and storage.

Yes, but is the 8.4an SDXC compatible. Those cards use a formating above fat32.

Default Speaker was bad

Well, I finally discovered why my stereo wasn't sounding as well. Searching through the satellite channels, I ran across the symphony channel. Before I fell asleep, the cracking from the front passenger speaker was horrible. Turns out, the speaker has been blown from delivery, but was hard to tell with normal hd radio. Dealership is replacing speaker and I should be "good to go"
